Department: Business Development
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Singapore
Position Summary
We are looking for a senior, commercially driven Strategic Relationship Director to take ownership of E-Tech's highest-value client relationships, enterprise-level alliances and long-term revenue architecture. This is a director-level role with full accountability for business development strategy, key account stewardship and the performance of the partnership function.
Where our partnership managers are focused on winning accounts and defending contracts, your role is to operate at the ecosystem level: building the alliances, frameworks and senior relationships that open doors no cold call can. You will define where E-Tech plays, who we partner with and how we grow our share of Singapore's built environment market over the next five to ten years.
What You Will Do
1. Strategic Alliance and Enterprise Account Leadership
You are accountable for E-Tech's most significant commercial relationships at a senior executive level.
- C-Suite and Board-Level Engagement: Build and maintain trusted relationships with CEOs, Asset Management Directors, Group Procurement Heads and key decision-makers at Singapore's largest real estate developers, REITs, government statutory boards and infrastructure operators.
- Enterprise Deal Architecture: Personally lead the structuring and negotiation of multi-year, multi-site service agreements, strategic joint ventures and preferred partner frameworks that deliver long-term recurring revenue for E-Tech.
- Alliance Ecosystem Development: Identify and formalise strategic alliances with main contractors, technology vendors, global FM operators and consultants that expand E-Tech's addressable market and competitive position.
- Market Positioning: Work closely with leadership to define E-Tech's commercial positioning in target verticals including commercial real estate, government and institutional, healthcare and industrial sectors.
2. Business Development Function Leadership
You lead the business development team and are accountable for its output, capability and culture.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Direct, coach and develop the Business Development and Partnership Management team. Set clear targets, establish accountability frameworks and build a high-performance culture that balances aggressive growth with disciplined execution.
- Pipeline Governance: Own the full BD pipeline from lead origination through to contract execution. Ensure pipeline health, forecast accuracy and deal velocity across the team.
- Revenue and Margin Accountability: Hold P&L responsibility for the new business and renewal portfolio. Set revenue targets, monitor performance against plan and drive corrective action where required.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Operations, Finance, Engineering and the Quantity Surveying function to ensure that commercial commitments made at the front end are delivered profitably at the back end.
3. Key Account Stewardship and Revenue Protection
Your personal involvement signals to our most important clients that E-Tech is committed at the highest level.
- Executive Account Reviews: Conduct regular senior-level business reviews with key clients to evaluate satisfaction, surface expansion opportunities and strengthen E-Tech's position as a long-term strategic partner.
- Contract Portfolio Oversight: Maintain strategic oversight of major contract renewals, escalations and at-risk accounts. Intervene personally where client relationships require director-level resolution.
- Retention and Growth: Drive net revenue retention across the existing client base through proactive engagement, service expansion and the deepening of account relationships over time.
What You Bring
- Seniority and Track Record: 10 or more years of progressive experience in Business Development, Strategic Partnerships or Enterprise Sales within the Built Environment, M&E Engineering, Integrated Facilities Management or Commercial Real Estate sectors. A proven track record of closing high-value, multi-year agreements at the enterprise level.
- People Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading, developing and holding accountable a business development or sales team. You build teams that perform consistently, not just in exceptional circumstances.
- Senior Network: An established network of senior decision-makers across Singapore's real estate, infrastructure, government and corporate sectors that can be activated to create opportunities for E-Tech from day one.
- Strategic Thinking: The ability to see beyond individual deals and shape the commercial architecture of a growing business. You think in terms of market position, partner ecosystems and multi-year revenue trajectories.
Key Competencies
- Executive Presence and Influence: Credible and compelling at board and C-suite level. Able to represent E-Tech as a strategic partner, articulate our value at the highest level and build lasting institutional trust.
- Commercial and Financial Acumen: Strong grasp of contract economics, margin management and the financial levers that determine the long-term profitability of a service business.
- Technical Literacy: Sufficient familiarity with M&E systems (HVAC, Electrical, Fire Protection, BMS, Smart Building technologies) to lead credible commercial conversations with technically minded counterparts.
- Negotiation at Scale: Experienced in navigating complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations involving legal, procurement, finance and technical teams on both sides of the table.
- Integrity and Long-Term Thinking: Committed to building partnerships that deliver genuine value to clients over the long term. Your reputation is your most important commercial asset.
