E-Times Issue 5 & 6 — April to September 2020, Special Edition

This double issue documents how E-Tech responded to COVID-19, from issuing surgical and reusable masks to technicians before clients asked for them, to sourcing sanitisers, arranging safe dormitories and alternate accommodation for foreign workers, and handling daily reporting to MOM, MOH and BCA for a workforce of some 180. No employee was retrenched. Channel News Asia and Mediacorp Channel 8 interviewed us on 2 June 2020 as the Circuit Breaker eased and air-conditioning maintenance resumed, with Executive Director Richard Teo explaining our decision to focus first on commercial buildings to limit contact with residents and the public. We also cover the partnership with AMS Japan to bring their SIAA-certified antibacterial film to Singapore, and our major brand name contracts: over six years of M&E and store maintenance for H&M across Singapore malls, mechanical ventilation fan work for SMRT, the OCBC ceiling light switch to Panasonic LED from floors 5 to 49, integrated facility management for AIMS APAC REIT, and the SingPost Tampines branch reinstatement plus the Kallang Delivery Base LED conversion. Other stories cover the launch of E-Tech Cleaning Services under cleaning veteran Joseph Yong, a profile of Sales & Operations Director Arthur Koo, our trademark registration running to 7 March 2029, the QR code, the slogan competition won by Cheryl Teo with "Beyond 30 Years of Excellence", the Demand Aggregation Scheme electricity savings service, the Panasonic showroom on Level 8 of our Kallang Way headquarters, and the plan to set up E-Tech Smart Solutions Pte Ltd with IT expert Lucas Chee.
